Rosewood Health Center Activities

In keeping with the values of The Groves Retirement Community, our activity programs are designed to involve residents physically, spiritually, emotionally, socially and mentally.  We encourage our residents to maintain past hobbies, while also pursuing new ones. Activities include exercise groups, crafts, games, cooking, pet therapy, community involvement, music programs, church services, volunteer opportunities and social gatherings (men’s club, Red Hat parties, etc.). 

We also offer several specialized programs such as:                                              

• Art Therapy - monthly art sessions with a trained art therapist
• Music Therapy - weekly sessions in both group and individual settings with a trained certified music therapist
• Montessori-Based Activities for Persons with Dementia – Montessori type approaches have been adapted to fit older adults with memory impairments
• Monthly Outings - restaurants, shopping, sightseeing, etc.
